Everything including the kitchen sink... but with special attention paid to board games, Jesus Christ, my family, being a "professional" (and I use that word loosely) Christian, and the random firing of the 10% of the synapses I'm currently using.

Finally, A Movie I'm Really Excited About
All I'm going to say is that you're looking at the Pieces of Ate Dinner Theater... and we have to wait until November. Sigh. More info available at the film's website.
We're really looking forward to that movie, too! It was great to see all of your positive parenting books at LibraryThing (and your negative review of Babywise). I really believe that compassionate, responsive parenting best reflects the way God parents us. :) If you ever get a chance, read Heartfelt Discipline by Clay Clarkson. God bless you and your family!
Babywise is tough stuff for me - while I see that some of the principles that Ezzo teaches have worked in our lives, I'm angry both at his "my way is the Biblical way of parenting" and his unwillingness to be held accountable for his actions.
With our two boys, we've found that we've learned from a lot of different folks - both in person & in books. We've been profoundly influenced by friends whose parenting style we admired... and most of all, we've asked God to show us "what next?!" about 1000 times. :-)
I think I've mentioned it on the blog (and promised to write more about it) - but we are also homeschooling our boys (using Sonlight & RightStart Math).
