The folks at the Opinionated Gamers blog are working on a post about the most played games of the decade... and as a part of my research for my input, I took a look at the patterns in my own game playing.
The chart above (and the list below) show the games that appeared in my top ten most played games for that year. Some of the patterns are not a surprise (Race for the Galaxy is continually played 5+ times each year... and often much more than that)... while others (I don't remember playing Quarriors that much) seem to come out of left field.
I'm not sure I have more to say about this... but I'm sure this might interest one or two of you. :-)

ReplyDeleteGood question.
I think Quacks of Q, Unmatched, and Marvel Champions (if FFG can get it together with releasing enough stock of the LCG packs) all stand a good chance of repeating this year. Impact: Battle of Elements is likely as well... my wife actually likes it. :-)
I still have not played Quacks of Q but I will get my chance next game night. And I could not agree more about LCG packs. I got lucky to get 2 out of 3 of the expansion packs but this will grow old if I have to hunt them down each time (even though I pre-ordered them). My game group is very cult of the new so it is rare that a most played game from one year caries to the next. One exception has been Clank/Clank in Space. Clanks expansions keep breathing new life into this game for my group.
