I've been working on the history of my ministry life... if you want to read the whole thing (geez, I'm long-winded), here's where to go:
- Part One: FBC Fordyce
- Part Two: Dalewood Baptist
- Part Three: Road Trip (Summer of '97)
- Part Four: the church at hickory hollow
- Part Five: the end of the church at hickory hollow
- Part Six: saying goodbye to the church at hickory hollow
- Part Seven: waiting for something good to happen
- Part Eight: NewLife Community Church (still needs to be written)
Of course, I need to write down the stuff BEFORE Part One, too. Sigh, a blogger's work is never done.

I don't know if you keep in touch with folks from Nashville...
Debbie Harned from Dalewood Baptist was a dear childhood friend of mine. She passed through this life very quickly. She died yesterday.
I was feeling nostalgic and did a google search "Debbie Harned" and found different bits about her life and ministry. I found your blog.
Mark,
Are you any relation to Paul Rainey Jackson, who wrote "The Doctrine and Administration of the Church" ?
Cynthe Colorado Springs
Cynthia...
Not that I know of... that's weird.
And by "weird", I mean if you'd seen the state of my office (messy), you probably wouldn't guess I was related to a guy who wrote a handbook on administration. :-)
