I'm working on more expansive post on my TV viewing habits - but here's a short blurb/head's up. One of the really enjoyable new shoes this year is Heroes, which is a cross between The X-Men & The X-Files. (Sadly, my "high-concept" description makes it sounds nerdy & geekish... and it really isn't. Trust me.)
If you haven't been watching, tonight is your chance to catch-up as NBC is doing a Heroes marathon (3 episodes back-to-back) at 8 pm/7 pm Central.
And, of course, there's a new episode on Monday night.

Catch Up with Heroes

It's a great show. Amy and I have been watching it as well. finally, a show worth keeping up with since the X-Files!
I had a feeling you'd like this one. I love the mtythology it's creating, like Lost, but Heroes actually answers questions as it goes along and then makes you ask more questions. I have been hooked since the first week.
I'm thankful that the tv networks have started to put their tv episodes on their web sites. Although I usually am not able to watch the show on Monday nights, I can usually find 40 minutes to catch up later in the week.
That having been said, I like the show right now...but it feels like it is building up to something that I might love.
Of course, I am a big fan of the Shymalan flick Unbreakable, and this show has a similar feel. ANd the X-Men analogy is very relevant also. I'm curious to see if we discover that these "heroes" are the product of natural evolution or something more artificial. My guess is that something artificial is going on. It will be interesting to see exactly what that is.

Good luck with your blog, dude - but you're taking this whole Heroes thing a little too seriously.
How would this show be to watch with my 8 year old son? He's a super hero nut, and while I know these guys don't wear suits, I thought he might like it. Just wondered about questionable content. thanks.

While I love the show, it's NOT a kid show. One of the main characters is an internet stripper who has a "split" personality that is pure evil (she kills, steals, betrays, whatever.) There is a super-powered serial killer on the loose, so there's been a few pretty grisly crime scenes.
There's more than that, but suffice it to say that I wouldn't recommend this for children.
Wow, glad I asked. Guess we'll stick with downloads of the Justice League, Superman and Thundar the Barbarian. Thanks.
(While I'm pulling the Hero episodes down, I probably won't get them watched 'til summer.)
