Not The Same Thing... At All

To my fellow believers in Jesus Christ:

You are entitled to have an opinion about the trial and conviction of the former president on 34 counts of falsification of business records in the first degree. It may not agree with mine - and that is perfectly normal.

What is not perfect or normal is using the name of the Lord in vain in an attempt to equate the multiple legal losses of Donald Trump with the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.
“You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain [that is, irreverently, in false affirmations or in ways that impugn the character of God]; for the Lord will not hold guiltless nor leave unpunished the one who takes His name in vain [disregarding its reverence and its power]." (Exodus 20:7 AMP)
Benjamin Cremer said it really well.

Other examples:

Scripture (emphasis mine):
Then Pilate, when he had called together the chief priests, the rulers, and the people, said to them, “You have brought this Man to me, as one who misleads the people. And indeed, having examined Him in your presence, I have found no fault in this Man concerning those things of which you accuse Him; no, neither did Herod, for I sent you back to him; and indeed nothing deserving of death has been done by Him." (Luke 23:13-15 NKJV)
“What is truth?” retorted Pilate. With this he went out again to the Jews gathered there and said, “I find no basis for a charge against him." (John 18:38 NIV)
